Job Description
Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join a finance team with a growing company in Sarasota, FL.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Review and maintain accurate financial records.
Support corporate accounting tasks, including month-end close activities and reconciliations.
Participate in budgeting processes by providing necessary data and insights.
Collaborate with team members to improve accounting procedures and workflows.
Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reviews.
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Previous experience in an accounting role or relevant coursework in accounting is preferred.
Familiarity with corporate accounting principles and practices is a plus.

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Proficiency in using financial software, is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within the finance team.
