Job Description

C² Technologies, Inc. seeks an Air-to-Air Mission Planner to lead and support all phases of mission generation, simulation, and mission planning system (MPS) operations, including the production of Data Transfer Cartridges (DTCs) and Crew Mission Packages (CMPs).
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing air-to-air mission planning activities within a simulator or Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) environment. The Air-to-Air Mission Planner will create mission scenarios, prepare comprehensive mission packages, support real-time simulation events, and ensure mission data accuracy and readiness. This position requires a deep understanding of Air Force Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (AFTTPs), joint warfare publications, and mission planning cell operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Mission Planning and Generation: Develop, execute, and manage all phases of mission generation using simulation and mission planning systems. Produce DTCs, crew mission packages, and related documentation.
  • Mission Product Creation: Prepare and distribute mission planning materials, including ATOs, ACOs, SPINS, ROEs, CONOPS, maps, communication cards, target imagery, and briefing slides in accordance with Air Force and DoD standards.
  • Scenario Development: Build mission scenarios within Environment Generator software and coordinate ECC setup with the Network Control Center (NCC).
  • Event Support: Serve as Event Controller and participate in DMO events, including mission briefings, execution, debriefings, and post-event reporting.
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to simulation and mission planning systems.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with government representatives, operators, and technical staff to ensure mission objectives and training goals are met.
  • Training and Meetings: Attend required academic sessions, training, and scheduled meetings.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of mission planning activities, products, and after-action reports.
  • Travel: Up to 25% travel required to support DMO events and related mission activities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting events in a Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) environment.
  • Current or prior qualification in one or more of the following roles:

    • Fighter or Attack Aircraft Crew
    • Remote Piloted Vehicle Operator
    • Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Specialist
    • Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) or Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
    • Air Battle Manager (ABM), Command and Control (C2), or Military Intelligence
    • Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR)
    • Army or Marine Corps Combat Arms Officer
    • Army, Navy, or Marine Aviation (Fixed or Rotary Wing)
    • Group 4 or 5 UAV Flight Operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with simulation and mission planning software.
  • Strong knowledge of AFTTP 3-1 Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures and Joint Warfare Publications.
  • Experience working in or managing a Mission Planning Cell (MPC).
  • Experience creating and disseminating CONOPS and products consistent with current Air Force or DoD formats.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standard 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday, with flexibility for overtime and weekend events.
  • Moderate office noise environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support mission events.
