Onward Search Education is seeking a compassionate and skilled ASL-Signing Paraeducator to provide 1:1 support for a student in a secondary school setting in Silverdale, Washington. This is a full-time, on-site, contract opportunity for the 2025–26 school year.

Position Details:

• Start Date: September 3, 2025
• Location: Silverdale, WA
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
• Assignment Type: Payrolled contract
• Setting: Secondary school (middle or high school level)
• Role: 1:1 student support using American Sign Language (ASL)

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily 1:1 support for a student who uses ASL for communication
• Assist in both academic and classroom-related activities
• Support the student’s social and behavioral goals as needed
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent educational access
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience working with students, preferably in a school or special education setting
• Ability to work effectively with a team and follow educational plans
• High school diploma or equivalent required; paraeducator certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
• Background clearance required
