Duties Description As a member of the Public Campaign Finance Unit, the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Public Information Officer are as follows: •Assist in the administration of debates for candidates participating in the Public Campaign Finance Program who are seeking election to Statewide office. •Assist the Public Information Office with media relations concerning the PCFB. •Assist the Public Information Office with assembling and fulfilling responses to PCFB FOIL requests. •Assist with drafting the minutes of PCFB Board Meetings, as well as, assembling related documentation, including applicable resolutions, reports and materials. •Work with the training unit to assist with the monitoring, management and updating of the PCFB webpage and social media accounts. •Assist the Public Information Office to ensure that the documents on the PCFB/SBOE website are accessible and screen-readable and meet State accessibility standards and criteria prior to posting on the website. •Assist with the monitoring of the PCFB webpage to ensure it is properly updated and functioning. •Assist with the preparation and posting of all PCFB public information posted on the PCFB webpage. •Assist with the management of legacy website information to ensure accessibility standards are met. •Assist with the review and management of PCFB candidate website postings. •Post website content as instructed by the Director and Deputy Director of PIO. •Provide administrative support for the Public Information Office as time permits. This position requires the ability to handle sensitive matters in a confidential manner. It also requires proficiency at Word, Excel, Acrobat, Web Development and the routine use of email and a multi-line phone system. Minimum Qualifications Four (4) years of progressively responsible office experience or general business or other related Experience. College or business school studies/training may be substituted in whole/part. Bilingual proficiency a plus.
