About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Head for Clinical Affairs in Cardiology, a Vice Chief and physician leader responsible for the clinical practice across the Division of Cardiology. This role involves overseeing a large team of cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and fellows, and working closely with the School of Medicine and healthcare partners to build and optimize clinical programs. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring quality, safety, and protocol alignment, as well as advancing the divisional strategy. Key responsibilities include program development, operational harmonization, integrated care delivery, and alignment of clinical, educational, and research missions. The role also encompasses workforce development, education and training, and fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration. Applicants for the Associate Head for Clinical Affairs position must have an MD, DO, MD-PhD, or DO-PhD degree, be board-certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine, and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership and operations role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical operations, quality, safety, and outcomes, and a proven track record in workforce development and professional mentorship. The role requires a leader who can champion patient, staff, and provider experience, and who is adept at setting and achieving strategic goals. A publication record in the field of Cardiology and experience in research, trials, and innovation are preferred. The candidate should be adept at financial management, business planning, and have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.
