Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring an Associate Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our team of qualified, unique individuals. This position will be hybrid, but the employee must be based in Southern California (CA) due to the statement of work (SOW) and will require travel up to 25% of the time. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Human Resources organization in support of our University Relations & Recruiting team.
In this role, you will:
Manage full life cycle recruitment for regional and site-specific early career and intern hiring requisitions.
Develop creative strategies to identify, attract and hire top candidates in a timely fashion and share best practices with team members.
Proactively conduct targeted searches and candidate screenings for top talent at our focus Universities.
Collaborate with Enterprise and Sector UR&R teams to participate in and attend events at focus Universities.
Leverage on-campus efforts to generate a candidate pool for regional and site-specific hiring events.
Ensure a pipeline of talent into entry level and intern roles including engagement with student organizations and attendance at national conferences.
Act as the talent acquisition lead at campus and conference events with a focus on identifying top candidates, supporting hiring managers, and facilitating streamlined hiring decisions.
Maintain ongoing contact with top college and intern talent from focus Universities.
Update candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with our leaders and other key players to ensure streamlined and positive candidate experience.
Develop and analyze UR&R metrics.
Develop and implement process improvements that drive operating excellence.
Drive the recruiting process to include partnering with hiring managers to write compelling job descriptions, ensuring proper classification and level, source and screen candidates, conduct/coordinate interviews, make recommendations to hiring managers and work with partners and support staff to extend offers, driving negotiations as needed.
Represent Northrop Grumman and the Northrop Grumman brand and products in a professional way.
The successful candidates will have exposure to the college recruiting space and display the ability to consult with all levels of internal and external customers, including students and University partners, Hiring Managers, and various levels of leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated experience in prioritizing the workday, balancing multiple projects, and working across multiple deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to attain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
Must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of our Redondo Beach, Rancho Bernardo, or Palmdale, California site and willing and able to travel 15-25% of the time
