LaSalle Network has partnered with a Chicago-based nonprofit seeking a passionate, organized and detail-oriented
Bilingual Fundraising Manager
to manage fundraising efforts, engage with the community and support organizational leadership in furthering the nonprofit's mission. This role involves a balance of grant management, community engagement and fundraising leadership, with the expectation of regular collaboration with the executive director and various boards.
Bilingual Fundraising Manager
Responsibilities:
Submit timely financial and fundraising reports, collaborate with the finance team and maintain activity records
Identify fundraising opportunities, research new donors, manage funding deadlines and maintain funder communications
Build rapport with program officers and stakeholders, coordinate funder visits with the executive director
Act as the media point of contact, organize press events, manage social media, newsletters and event marketing
Develop donor materials, acknowledge gifts promptly and engage members in organizational activities
Educate members and cultivate their participation in storytelling and campaign efforts
Partner with Development Directors of allied organizations to create fundraising and community engagement opportunities
Educate staff and board on fundraising processes and involve them as needed. Nurture the Associate Board's role in fundraising
Maintain records, attend staff meetings, and support organizational tasks as needed, including translation and interpretation
Bilingual Fundraising Manager
Requirements:
Commitment to the nonprofit's mission, especially regarding social and economic empowerment
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with attention to detail
Proactive, self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team
Fluent in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office Suite and QuickBooks for reporting
Experience in a multiracial, multicultural environment and commitment to organizational capacity-building
3+ years of fundraising experience preferred
Background in communications work, project management or team leadership preferred
Familiarity with community organizing, immigrants' rights and advocacy preferred
Knowledge of Popular Education methods preferred
Additional language skills beyond English and Spanish a plus
