Our mission is to deliver an exceptional patient care experience that promotes healing and recovery in a compassionate environment. Every employee contributes to this mission by embodying our cultural values: celebrating success, owning the future, being patient-centered, creating change, thinking first, and building trust.

Responsibilities

We seek dedicated employees who will champion the Select Medical Way—prioritizing patients, enhancing community quality of life, innovating, providing high-quality care, and acting ethically.

The CEO position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on hospital operations management in a critical care environment. The CEO will provide strategic leadership, oversee operations, focus on business development, uphold exceptional patient care standards, and ensure fiscal responsibility. The ideal candidate will analyze complex situations, make effective decisions, demonstrate high integrity, maintain positivity, and operate effectively under pressure. This role requires a proactive, broad-responsibility leader capable of thriving in a dynamic healthcare setting. The CEO may also serve as vice-chair of the Governing Board if no market CEO is appointed.

  • Perform daily rounds on nursing floors, communicating with patients, families, and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and oversee the Complaint-Grievance Process.
  • Maintain hospital compliance with State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
  • Focus on employee engagement.
  • Develop and nurture key business development relationships.
  • Implement the Corporate Case Management and PPS Model effectively.
  • Prepare and present an Annual Operating Budget, a 3-year Capital Budget, and a Strategic Plan for approval by the Governing Board.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, adhere to policies, and comply with HIPAA and professional standards.

Qualifications

We seek candidates passionate about quality care and inventive problem solvers who excel in dynamic environments.

Minimum requirements:

  • Master's Degree required.
  • At least three (3) years of leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Experience in finance management, strategic planning, and community health education.
  • At least three (3) years of operations experience in an acute care or specialty hospital setting.

Additional Benefits

We support work-life balance with benefits including:

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Extended Illness Days (EID).
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance; Life insurance; Prescription coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Short and Long Term Disability.
  • Personal and Family Medical Leave.
