Position Description Immediate opening for a Class C Home Daily Delivery Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Lockport, IL. Pay & Schedule Driver Positions Pay Weekly Average Weekly Pay: $1075-$1200 Hours Per Week: 48 hours Paid Training Schedule: Monday – Friday Start Time: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM Dispatch Route & Equipment Deliver Solo: IL, IN, MI Route: Dedicated Home Daily Tractor Type: Straight Truck Trailer Type: 20-26' Straight Trucks Equipment: Pallet Jack and Liftgate. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight: Touch – Auto Parts Benefits Uniform Allowance Provided Paid Personal Time Off Starts at Day 1 - 80 hours accrued in First Year Paid Personal Time Policy: Encourage use of vacation time; if not used, you are paid remaining balance at hourly pay rate. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience Pass a Ryder Drug Test Verifiable driving experience on similar equipment: 6 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and Alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Valid driver’s license Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Responsibilities Safely drive a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service. Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards. Maintaining accurate records. Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer. Other tasks as assigned.
