Description

The community outreach RN position is responsible for developing and coordinating community education and outreach.

• Performs all duties in a courteous and efficient manner, maintains positive relationships with all contacts and co-workers. Competencies 1-5 (40%)
• Coordinates/facilitates community outreach & education programs (30%)
• Develops community outreach initiatives to promote key service, to increase awareness and preference of entity as destination for the key services. (10%)
• Provides clinical expertise for Marketing & Communication strategies (10%)

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

• 5+ years management experience (Required) or
• 5+ years Clinical experience (Required)
• Experience in marketing and budgeting (Preferred) and
• Experience working with the elderly and knowledge of community resources (Preferred) and
• Experience with occupational health (Preferred)

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (Required proficiency)
• Excellent verbal and writing skills (Required proficiency)
• Self-starter able to envision goals and actively accomplish them (Required proficiency)
• Strong interpersonal skills (Required proficiency)
• Skillful at working with all levels of personnel. (Required proficiency)
• Experience with organizing and planning events. (Required proficiency)
• Computer skills (WP, Database, spreadsheet). (Required proficiency)

• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Upon Hire (Required)
