POSITION SUMMARY FOR THE PARKING CONCIERGE:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide superior service to our guests and clients. Duties include issuing tickets, completing administrative paperwork, maintaining cleanliness of the parking areas overseen by PMC, and business development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARKING CONCIERGE:
  • Walk lots and issue tickets for guests parking at specific parking lots.
  • Conduct regular parking lot audits and car counts.
  • Responsible for money collection and corresponding paperwork.
  • Complete log report showing arrivals and parking operation data.
  • Complete shift reports showing tickets issued and money received and any corresponding operational paperwork.
  • Conduct business development/sales efforts to generate new business and enhance existing business; will be incentivized and compensated for job related results; must have reliable transportation to and from work; routinely this position will be required to use personal vehicles to conduct business development/sales efforts; will be reimbursed for travel related expenses in accordance with the Company's Expense Policy.
  • Must maintain proper and timely inventory of vehicles in accordance with inventory standards.
  • Issues violations, conversion communications, and citations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lot and attendant booth, including basic housekeeping and janitorial duties.
  • Provide customer assistance during payment for parking services, including handling cash payments when necessary.
  • Regular monitoring of all parking lots.
  • Must convey and communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working. (Adhering to standards of appearance, includes but is not limited to the following standard, no visible tattoos.)
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with PMC standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of business.
  • Always comply with PMC standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient parking operations.
  • Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Must be friendly, attentive, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow employees, other departments, and partner businesses.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Must have a valid driver license per the policies of PMC, including specific insurance and/or state requirements to be outlined during hiring.
  • Must maintain driving record in good standing and report any changes to driving record. Regular driving record updates may be requested.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Use of personal cell phones may be required for work purposes.
Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Customer service experience preferred; customer service attitude and a willing, helpful demeanor is mandatory.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, associates are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. Associates are frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions. The work environment can be noisy and will be surrounded by moving vehicles driven by employees and the general public.

Physical Demands:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. Associates are required to verbally communicate, as well as have the ability to hear clearly in often noisy and chaotic environments.
