The ideal candidate will have experience in the engineering or construction industry, be comfortable working independently, and possess solid computer skills to support digital documentation and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough records of inspections, including daily reports, photographs, and documentation of any issues or discrepancies.
  • Communication: Coordinate with contractors, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address potential issues early to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • E-Construction: Utilize computers and digital tools for documentation, reporting, and communication, supporting the industry’s shift toward electronic processes.
  • Safety Oversight: Promote and enforce safety protocols on construction sites, reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in the engineering or construction industry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable using computers for documentation, communication, and reporting (proficiency required, but not expert-level).
  • Experience interpreting construction plans, specifications, and codes is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certifications in construction inspection, building inspection, or related fields are a plus (e.g., ICC, ACIA, DSA, or similar).
  • DOT sampling and testing certifications desirable but not required.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in construction management, engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license to travel to project sites.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
