We are on the hunt for a Controller who will be a part of our commercial real estate team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Your role will involve managing financial aspects and reporting for our diverse property portfolio. You will also contribute to company-wide processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting and aspects for complex real estate entities.
• Assist in streamlining company-wide processes and procedures.
• Manage multiple property accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Record and reconcile income, expenses, changes in assets, and liabilities on a monthly basis.
• Carry out monthly bank statement reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of all payables.
• Prepare, review, and present monthly financial statements.
• Collaborate with property management during the annual budget process and update projected cash flow schedules throughout the year.
• Review and calculate annual operating expense recoveries (CAM reconciliation).
• Maintain tenant ledgers and accurately compute management fees.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Controller.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Month End Close processes.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in using Yardi software.
• Proven experience in Property Accounting.
• Ability to utilize Yardi Property Management tools effectively.
• Expertise in using Yardi Voyager is a significant advantage.
