Talascend is currently seeking a Corporate Accountant for a full-time opportunity in Erie, PA.


This is a direct role, eligible for salary, benefits and bonus. Must be willing to work on-site; hybrid work schedule.



OVERVIEW:


The Corporate Accountant will manage a wide range of accounting functions, from transactional processing to month-end close, supporting the corporate team and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Post manual journal entries and perform account reconciliations, including bank and intercompany transactions.
• Manage capital leasing, asset disposals, and depreciation, and lead month-end close activities for accurate financial reporting.
• Handle banking relationships, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Act as a key user for SAP system implementations and support new accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Prepare reports for HQ, support audits, and assist with tax compliance, including form preparation (1099s, 8802s).
• Collaborate with other departments, providing accounting guidance and supporting financial analysis as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, and tax reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
