About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to build and oversee a high-performing team. You will embrace an opportunity to make a difference while learning from a seasoned team who has driven some of the most significant innovations in data science and AI technology development in a variety of industries. As a strong, senior leader, effective communicator and a technical accounting and financial professional, you will streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. You will also produce thorough financial-status reports for senior leadership to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. What You Will Do Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior leadership by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies Manage treasury operations, including cash flow and banking relationships Direct payroll processing and tax compliance Coordinate tax planning, compliance, and filings Implement and oversee expense management policies Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures Manage, review and analyze financial statements Lead external audits and support fundraising activities Plan, direct and coordinate all other accounting operational functions Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity What We Are Looking For Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 10+ years of professional accounting experience Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems Excellent leadership and communication skills How to Stand Out From the Crowd Experience in high-growth, venture-backed companies preferred Why H2O.ai?
