Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer
Experience: 7+ years
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, and other company-issued technology. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, and other company-issued technology
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Support users via phone, email, and in-person
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates and patches
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases
- Provide training and support for new technologies and applications
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in desktop support or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
- Experience with desktop and laptop hardware, including troubleshooting and repair of:
- HDD and SSD storage devices
- Motherboards and other hardware components
- Familiarity with mobile devices and other company-issued technology
- Experience with printing devices, including MFPs and printers
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience with endpoint management tools, including:
- SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
- Intune (Microsoft Intune)
- Autopilot (Windows Autopilot)
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent, are a plus
