Position Overview:

As a Kitchen Assistant , you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly. Whether you're washing dishes, preparing ingredients, or supporting the team, your contribution will directly impact the quality of the food and service we provide.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Set up and stock kitchen stations with all necessary supplies
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen equipment (e.g., dishes, pots, pans, glassware)
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and glassware to Pie Inc.'s standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including machines, appliances, and storage areas
• Assist with food prep, inventory, and other tasks as needed by leadership
• Prepare the kitchen for the next shift by cleaning and restocking stations
• Monitor dishwashing machines and report any technical issues promptly
• Support team members in other areas, as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant or similar environment
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality service standards
• Availability for a minimum of two shifts per week (weekends included)
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong work ethic and the ability to stay positive and productive in a busy kitchen setting

Compensation:

• Hourly wage : $16–$18/hr (including tips)
• Additional benefits : Health insurance (for full-time), 401(k) match, yoga/gym memberships, and more.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.00 - $18.00/hour.

About PALOMINO: Palomino Bar is an old school spot in the great neighborhood of Bay View - Milwaukee, WI. We love good food and good drink. The majority of our ingredients are sourced locally and our Southern inspired, belly-warming food is made all from scratch. We've got one of the best whiskey lists in the city (and Wisconsin, actually), great handcrafted cocktails, well chosen craft beers as well as ice cold, crispy brews from the Big Boys. And the pie is great too.
