Position Summary :

Elite Dispatching is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dispatch Manager to lead and manage our dispatch team. The Dispatch Manager will be responsible for ensuring dispatch accuracy, addressing complaints, tracking team performance, and maintaining high standards of customer service. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the management team to develop and implement action plans aimed at improving operational efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

The Dispatch Manager is a working manager and is responsible for overseeing the dispatch team while also stepping in to provide shift coverage when necessary. This hands-on role ensures smooth operations, maintains high standards of service, and supports the team in meeting performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train, Monitor, and Supervise : Directly oversee the dispatch team, ensuring efficient and effective daily operations.
• Accuracy and Issue Resolution : Maintain high accuracy in dispatching and coordinate the prompt resolution of issues or customer complaints.
• Collaboration with Management : Work closely with management to develop actionable plans for improving performance and increasing profitability.
• Schedule Management : Oversee dispatch schedules, ensure full shift coverage, and manage time-off requests.
• Ongoing Training : Conduct continuous training for dispatchers to ensure they are up-to-date with current procedures, policies, and industry standards.
• Audits and Performance Reviews : Perform regular audits of dispatch accuracy, call performance, and billing processes.
• Resource Utilization : Ensure drivers and trucks are used efficiently to maximize productivity and service quality.
• Revenue Tracking : Monitor daily revenue goals and report key performance metrics to management.
• Team Culture : Foster a strong, positive culture among the dispatch team, drivers, and other employees.
• Employee Management : Handle employee performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Additional Support : Assist with other tasks or operational needs as required.

Qualifications:

• Management Experience : Minimum 5 years of management experience, ideally within dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field.
• Attention to Detail : Ability to manage tasks efficiently with a keen eye for accuracy and detail, ensuring smooth operations with minimal supervision.
• Customer Service Excellence : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to resolve customer issues and maintain high standards of service.
• Sales and Service Focus : Experience in setting, monitoring, and achieving sales or service targets. A sales-driven mindset that aligns with organizational goals.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Adaptable to day-to-day operational challenges, with strong critical thinking skills to create effective solutions quickly.
• Process Improvement : Capable of developing new procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
• Employee Management : Proven ability to manage diverse teams, handle various personalities, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
