Job Description: Patient Access Representative at UPMC
\nUPMC is seeking full-time Patient Access Representatives to work in patient registration at the front desk and bedside in the Emergency Departments at UPMC hospitals. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to start or expand their career in healthcare.
\n*Training is offered for this position and includes a 4-day Medipac training followed by hands on training/shadowing.
\nResponsibilities:
\nAs a Patient Access Representative, your typical day will involve working with patients and family members as they arrive at the Emergency Room. You will be one of the first UPMC team members they interact with. Your responsibilities will include:
\nWork Schedule :
\nIn this role, you will travel to any UPMC Emergency Department throughout Allegheny County and Cranberry. You will work a variety of shifts (daylight, evening, and overnight hours) on various days. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Some flexibility around locations and shifts may be available on a case-by-case basis. After six months of floating to various hospitals, there is the potential to be placed at one Emergency Department.
\nCompletion of high school diploma or equivalent.
