Arepet Industries, LLC is seeking an experienced and skilled Equipment Operator to join our team in Von Ormy, TX.

Position Summary
The equipment operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader and other Heavy Equipment. This position operates loaders equipped with a front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket, which is used to transport silica sand, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stockpile sand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to the required work area.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader.
• Attend safety meetings and inspections.
• Required to shovel sand to maintain plant cleanliness daily.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 2 yrs experience operating a Loader
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Other Requirements

• Able to read, speak, and write in English.
• Work performed in a plant environment. Exposure to inclement weather, as most work will be performed outside.
• Frequently required to walk on uneven ground.
• Strong work ethic, striving for excellence in all activities.
• Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities.
• Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things.
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facility

Physical Requirements

• This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders on a repetitive basis
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift 50 lbs from the ground to waist level on a repetitive basis
• Must work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, SAND, and noisy conditions
• Must be able to work at various heights
• Must have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls
• Possess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet
