Job Description
Cottonwood Creek Veterinary Hospital is a family owned & operated, full service mixed animal veterinary hospital. We provide services for all species (except venomous animals) and aim to provide top level care to every patient we see while providing top level customer service to our clients. We have 3 locations including this Waco location as well as Woodway & Groesbeck locations. We are a rapidly growing practice who is seeking the right candidates to join our team as we continue to add to our ever-growing family. Our large animal technicians are the main caretakers and providers for the food animal & equine patients in our facility, as well as a main line of communication for the patient's owner. We are seeking a candidate that is driven and focused to aide us in our goal of helping every patient and client the best we can. Responsibilities include moving patients through chutes & stocks, assisting in lameness examinations, mucking stalls, moving patients between stalls & pastures, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, obtaining patient history & assisting in exam rooms, anesthesia induction/monitoring/recovery & surgical assisting, restraint for examinations & procedures, administering medications (by many routes) & vaccinations, caring for hospitalized patients, reporting disease or symptom progression to superior technicians/case doctors, performing physical rehabilitation therapy, performing in hospital diagnostics (including fecal screenings, lab work, & cytology), making individualized recommendations (vaccines/preventatives/etc) for each patient, ensuring the highest level of facility cleanliness possible and general assistance around the facility. A strong desire to provide the best possible care and always pursuing further education is a must. We are a fast paced facility who strives to provide every client & patient with the best care possible and works very well together as a team.\

A license is not required, however a current LVT status is helpful.\
\
On-call overnights, weekends and holidays are required.\
\
