Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in high-quality plastic extrusion, is seeking a dedicated Extrusion Line Operator to join their team. As an Extrusion Line Operator, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Extrusion Line Operator

Location: Pollocksville, NC

Pay Range: based on experience

Shift: Day

What's the Job?

• Start up and stop extrusion equipment efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and setup of all dies and extruders.
• Operate complex extrusion lines with minimal supervision, ensuring continuous production.
• Load, unload, and manage materials, including the use of forklifts.
• Conduct quality tests and inspections to ensure product conformance to specifications.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; four years of production experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy machinery and production equipment.
• Knowledge of extrusion line components such as shears, accumulator, and winder.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to interpret gauges and automated systems.
