Job Description

• Shift Timings: 06:00 PM to 06:00 AM Rotating Schedule of 12 Hours shifts, 3 days one week, 4 days the following, off every other weekend
• Salary Range: $35,000.00 to $47,000.00
• No. of Positions: 10

Job Summary: While reporting to the Extrusion Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating all Extrusion equipment in a safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organization skills, and attention to detail. This position is in our Plastics facility in beautiful Franklin Park, IL

Must-Haves:

• At least 1 year extrusion experience.
• Ability to adjust machine dimensions.
• Must be able to lift 50 LBS.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Set up and operate and extrusion machine and ensure proper dimensions are set up
• Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, and amounts, dimensions and flow of materials or ingredients
• Ensure that quality expectations are met and notify lead technician, or supervisor, when extruded product fails to meet standards
• Record and Maintain production data such as meter readings ad quantities, types and dimensions of materials produced
• Turn controls to adjust machine functions, such as regulating air pressure or die gaps.

Skills & Experience:

• At least one year of experience as an extrusion operator in a plastic packaging environment (must have been the operator or lead operator not helper or roll hanger)
• 2 years of machine operator experience
• 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Experience in injection molding
• Steel toe shoes
• Ability to read, write, and perform math skills
• Sense of urgency and responsibility
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality control
• Lift 50 LBS.
