Fabricator / Build Technician, up to $35/hr – Madison Heights, MI

We are seeking a mid-career Fabricator / Build Technician to join our clients team in Madison Heights, MI. This role involves hands-on fabrication, assembly, and design support for a variety of prototype and production projects, including electronics boxes and battery packs.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of fabrication or mechanical assembly experience preferred
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings required
  
• Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques: cutting, welding, drilling, grinding, etc.
  
• Knowledge of working with aluminum, steel, and copper materials
  
• Familiarity with general shop equipment and fabrication tools
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  
• Technical training preferred
  

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Fabricate parts from aluminum, steel, and copper according to engineering prints
  
• Perform cutting, welding, drilling, and other shop operations to produce high-quality parts
  
• Assist in design checking for manufacturability, providing feedback to engineering teams
  
• Support assembly and builds of electronics boxes, battery packs, and other prototype systems
  
• Ensure parts meet quality standards through measurement and inspection
  
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and assembly teams to complete projects on time
