Overview:

Freedom Hill Farms is seeking a motivated and dedicated Farm Worker to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse and sustainable farm, with a focus on organic practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture and possess the necessary skills to assist in all aspects of farm operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and maintain crops using organic practices such as weeding, planting, and harvesting
• Monitor plant health and report any abnormalities or issues to management
• Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, tillers, and irrigation systems
• Assist in the implementation of crop rotation and planting schedules
• Maintain farm infrastructure, including repairing fences, gates, and irrigation systems
• Monitor and maintain the health and wellbeing of livestock, including feeding and cleaning
• Assist with the packaging and delivery of produce to various markets and restaurants
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Work collaboratively with other farm workers and management to complete daily tasks and projects
• Embrace a positive and team-oriented approach to work and contribute to a positive work culture

  Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-year experience working on a farm or similar agricultural setting
• Passion for sustainable and organic farming practices
• Ability to operate and maintain various farm equipment
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends depending on farm needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
