Also works from engineering change notices, engineering logs, CAE workmanship standards and various CAE manufacturing procedures documents./liliMaintains paint shop equipment and chemicals./liliOrders paint, chemicals, and other consumable paint shop items./liliPerforms prime and finish painting on components and assemblies./liliFabricates labels, banners, and signs using the large format paint shop printer using graphical software./liliFills and repairs damaged surfaces prior to final finish./liliSands, masks, and prepares components for final finish./liliOperates bead blaster to prepare certain parts for finish./liliDisassembles and replaces parts as required./liliMarks identifying information and reference designators on parts/liliInterfaces with hardware engineering to establish best finish procedures for components./liliSilkscreens ink line-work and nomenclature onto components as required./li/ulh3Qualifications and Education Requirements/h3ulliHigh school diploma or general education degree./liliAble to obtain a security clearance or already possess security clearance./liliPost high school vocational training/certification desired./liliExperience in paint/paint prep shop environment preferred./liliDue to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role./li/ulh3Preferred Skills/h3ulliFinishing techniques required ability to mix, and apply all types of topcoat finishes to final product for a professional finish preferred./liliExperience in bondo techniques and paint preparation and application preferred./liliSound understanding of military and commercial workmanship standards./liliBasic computer skills are required for time reporting and work order processing./liliAbility to perform work assignments with minimal supervision./liliAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence./liliAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals./liliAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
