Front Desk Clerk (Second Shift: 3 PM – 11 PM)
Location: Abilene Whitten Inn – 3450 South Clack Street, Abilene, TX

Position: Full-Time About the Role
The Abilene Whitten Inn is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team for the second shift (3 PM – 11 PM) . As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and positive experience during their stay. Key Responsibilities
Greet and check in guests with professionalism and courtesy.
Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments using the hotel’s system.
Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
Process payments, balance cash drawers, and maintain accurate records.
Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and escalate when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Perform nightly reports and end-of-shift procedures as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or hospitality training preferred
.Previous hotel or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
.Strong communication and interpersonal skills
.Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently
.Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems (training provided)
.Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance
