If you have a strong background in Google Cloud Platform and enjoy designing high-impact, scalable cloud solutions, this could be the role for you. Key Requirements: Strong, hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. Role Overview – Google Cloud Architect Architecture & Design Design scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud architectures leveraging GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Dataflow, etc.). Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and best practices. Pipeline Development & Automation Build and manage robust data pipelines using tools such as Airflow Composer, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc. Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub. Implement infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Cloud Infrastructure Management Collaborate on design and implementation of network architectures (VPCs, subnets, peering, VPNs, load balancing). Manage IAM, roles, and policies for secure access and governance. Oversee cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Ops Agent). Optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and performance. Security & Compliance Apply best practices for data security, identity management, encryption, and compliance (including GDPR). Implement protection strategies with Cloud KMS, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center. Collaboration & Leadership Mentor data engineers and lead technical workshops or design reviews. Act as a GCP subject‑matter expert and advocate for cloud adoption across the organization. Programming & Scripting Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting, with experience writing automation scripts and deployment APIs. Data & Analytics Familiarity with ETL/ELT design and relevant tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer). Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and streaming analytics. Cloud Platform Expertise Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform—including Compute, Storage & Databases, Networking, Security, and Monitoring. Soft Skills Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities. Excellent communication skills—able to bridge business needs and technical solutions. Demonstrated leadership experience in cross‑functional cloud projects. Comfortable working in Agile or DevOps environments.
