The Graphic Design Intern is part of Chloe + Isabel’s in-house Brand Creative team, responsible for creating engaging + on-brand marketing materials geared towards both our end-consumers + Merchandisers. The Graphic Design Intern will assist with the creation of a wide-array of print, digital + social initiatives + gain hands-on experience in every step of the creative process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Able to take creative direction Assist in creation of compelling assets that are both on-brand + meet the brand’s objectives Work closely with designers to develop + carry-out appropriate + effective design concepts Maintain a consistent design aesthetic for our web presence, social channels, email + print Participate in the creative brainstorming process with the team Education / Experience: Enrolled at an accredited university as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student towards a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or Communications Design. This internship is for school credit only + requires a minimum 3-month commitment Prior internship experience in e-commerce, fashion, retail, direct sales or startups preferred, but not required Professional Skills: Solid understanding of design fundamentals (typography, composition, layout, color, etc.) Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign + Illustrator Portfolio demonstrating a range of deliverables from print, web + social Strong work ethic, detail-oriented + able to create print-ready + pixel-perfect design files Excellent communication + collaboration skills Thorough understanding of the necessary considerations in designing for a brand-centric company Own projects and see them through the project lifecycle Work both independently + collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven creative environment Illustration, hand-lettering, photography or image retouching abilities a plus!
