Description of role: ( We are looking for safe and courteous Class A truck drivers with a minimum of 2 years of tanker experience. Cool Transports offers newer trucks that are safe and comfortable for our drivers. No owner-operators are employed by Cool Transports. The fleet is entirely company-owned and maintained on a strict schedule. We do not compromise where safety is involved. ( Tasks: ( Complete a daily truck log via the electronic logging device ( Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately ( Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible ( Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business ( Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public ( Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself accordingly ( Conduct daily inspections (DVIRs) of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management via the electronic logging device ( Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules ( Pick up petroleum product from the loading rack and deliver to customer location in an efficient and safe manner ( Skills and requirements: ( ~ High school diploma/GED required ( ~ Class A drivers license in good standing ( ~2 years verifiable petroleum experience ( ~ Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement ( ~ Must have a clean DMV record ( ~ Must be drug free; random drug testing required per DOT regulation ( ~ Must pass initial drug test/physical/background check at time of hire ( Work schedule: ( Full time, Sunday-Saturday, 24 hours a day. Shifts rotate on a 5-3, 5-2. Evenings and weekends are required. We never close. We run our trucks 24/7 to ensure our customers receive the best service.
