Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies. Conducts studies in human/machine interaction (e.g., User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX)), equipment/facilities design, environmental design, and human performance assessment. Finalizes project deliverables and technical reports. Designs experiments and usability testing and oversees data collection and analysis of behavioral data. Knowledge of human cognition, including serial and parallel processing, visual perception, attention allocation, and reaction time. Supports organizational performance, product design, etc., including human factors integration, concept design and development, rapid prototyping, user testing, and qualification. Participates in all lifecycle phases, provides inputs to defining human factor requirements and systems integration, establishes and runs assessments, and generates qualification evidence. Minimum Qualifications 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.- Must possess an active Secret clearance.

• Ability to analyze system requirements and develop engineering specifications
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering lifecycle phases
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical documentation

Preferred Requirements Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like MagicDraw or Cameo

• Prior experience working with military or aerospace platforms
• Master’s degree in a technical discipline is a plus
