Income Tax Accountant

JOB PURPOSE : Responsible for preparation of the companys income tax returns. As well as assist with federal and state income tax audits and support other tax functions as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and assist with the completion all U.S. income tax compliance responsibilities (includes federal, state, and local returns for all entities)
• Prepare state apportionment workpapers and state modifications for state tax returns
• Calculate and coordinate payment of estimated payments for various jurisdictions
• Assist with preparation of federal and state depreciation calculations
• Research tax laws and legislation as it relates to company matters and apply as appropriate
• Prepare cash tax reporting and assist with cash tax forecasts
• Research and resolve federal, state and local notices
• Assist with the preparation and of the income tax provision as needed
• Assist with income tax audits as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA required (or in progress)
• Minimum of 2-3 years income tax experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, Bloomberg Fixed Assets, Oracle, and Alteryx preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word software
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Extremely organized with strict attention to detail
• Ability to deliver timely and accurate information
• Friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in office (Plano, TX) Monday through Friday.
