Salary: $32-$34/hour depending on experience

Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM | Monday - Friday

Job Overview:

PrideNow, a staffing agency is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team in Wharton, NJ. This role involves supervising and participating in the installation, alteration, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial electrical systems, including motors, generators, fixtures, appliances, and mechanical equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise and participate in complex electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Manage subordinate staff by scheduling, assigning, reviewing work, providing training, and evaluating performance.
• Maintain and modify electrical systems as required.
• Diagnose and correct power failures and motor issues on bridges.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical work on photoelectric cells, air conditioners, motor generator units, air compressors, and traffic counters.
• Oversee the wiring of lighting control circuits and devices.
• Plan and estimate costs for electrical wiring and fixtures on construction projects.
• Drive to and from work sites, load, and unload tools and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Extensive knowledge of electrical principles.
• Understanding of electrical equipment functions and operations.
• Proficient in the materials and tools used for electrical maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with electrical industry standards and the National Electrical Code.
• Knowledge of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Skilled in using electrical testing, diagnostic, and repairing equipment.
• Capable of applying supervisory techniques effectively.
• Ability to follow established procedures and prioritize work efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and supervise work.
• Capable of working in confined spaces, on ladders, scaffolding, towers, and lift buckets up to considerable heights.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish differences in wire and cable colors.
• Willingness to be on-call and respond to call-outs, including working non-standard hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in reading and understanding electrical diagrams.
• Ability to operate a standard motor vehicle safely.
