Job Description

Job Title: Lathe Retainer/Cylinder Operator
Location: Pontiac, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

What’s the Job?

· Set up and operate manual and CNC lathe machines to fabricate retainers, cylinders, and related components.
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate machining.
· Monitor machining processes, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
· Inspect finished products using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
· Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What’s Needed?

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferred.
· 2+ years of experience operating lathe machines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, and precision measurement.
· Ability to use various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
· Experience with CNC programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
· Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
