Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mail Clerk to assist with daily logistics, mail/package handling, and customer interaction at Benedictine College. This position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to learn print job production, answer phones, and perform deliveries across campus. The role is physically active and demands attention to detail, professionalism, and a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist students at the service counter with package pickup and inquiries
• Learn and support print production tasks and basic printing services
• Answer phones and help ensure customer needs are met efficiently
• Deliver mail and packages to faculty across the campus
• Receive packages from various delivery carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx)
• Use computer systems to log packages and communicate with customers
• Walk throughout campus to complete deliveries and other tasks
• Maintain a professional demeanor and follow campus policies
• Perform other duties as directed, depending on workflow priorities

Required Skills:

• Prior customer-facing service experience (e.g., retail, restaurant, hospitality)
• Good verbal and written communication skills (use of proper grammar is essential)
• Team player with strong work ethics and dependability
• Comfortable standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday
• Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and site systems
• Eagerness to learn and ability to follow supervision
• Flexible, positive attitude and attention to detail
• Neat and legible handwriting

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in printing or logistics environments
• Previous experience working on a college campus or in a mailroom

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
