REQUIREMENTS: - Fingerprint/background screening required
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Experience with a wide range of building maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and landscaping.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The following statements of essential functions and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on building assignment and other factors determined with supervisor and/or building principal.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist in planning and executing special projects related to the maintenance, repair, or improvement of district facilities.
- Coordinate with other staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within the set timelines.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Director of Buildings and Grounds.
- Perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC work.
- Ensure that facilities are maintained in compliance with district policies and safety regulations.
- Identify and troubleshoot facility issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Assist with landscaping, irrigation, and other outdoor projects to maintain the grounds in a safe and aesthetically pleasing condition.
- Help with snow removal, leaf blowing, and other seasonal tasks to keep the grounds clean and accessible.
- Participate in the construction or renovation of district facilities, including interior and exterior modifications.
- Help with the installation of new equipment, furniture, or fixtures in classrooms, offices, and other district properties.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure that all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and safety standards.
- Regularly inspect facilities for potential safety hazards and report any concerns to the Director of Buildings and Grounds.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies required for special projects and repairs.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and report any supply shortages.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, and potentially hazardous chemicals.
- Physical demands include lifting heavy objects(up to 100 pounds), climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, and working in confined spaces.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for emergency repairs or special projects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 260 Day Calendar
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Classified
