Job Title: Material Handler

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our client's team. This person will be responsible for uncrating and unpackaging metal parts, panels, and equipment, staging products, and moving them to the correct production space on the floor. #1939LID

Key Responsibilities:

• Uncrate and unpackage components, metal parts, panels, motors and equipment.
• Stage products to the correct production space on the floor. Load onto racks and use tug cart to move to production floor.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move products (forklifts used 30% of the time).
• Work off of printed order list, verify all product was received, check tags to ensure product numbers match.
• Check packing slips to ensure all materials are included.
• Handle parts and be willing to learn and identify them.
• After crates are broken down, gather the wood and dispose of it into the outdoor recycling.
• Break down cardboard and other packaging materials and recycle or dispose of it into the trash.

Skill and Abilities:

• Ability to get on and off forklifts, bend to pick up items from the floor, kneel, and be on your feet all day.
• Lifting: No lifting over 15 lbs above the chest. Partner lifts and cranes and other material-handling equipment are required to avoid overexertion.
• Strong attention to detail, must be able to work with part numbers and be able to ensure accuracy when labeling.
• Good verbal communication skills.

Equipment Used:

• Forklifts (experience preferred) willing to train
• Pallet jacks
• Overhead cranes (training provided)
• Pushcarts
• Tug Carts

Work Schedule's:

• Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM

Compensation:

• $21 per hour with a $1.50 differential for swing shift.
