Job Description

The Nursing Home and Senior Services Administrator acts as the administrator of the senior services facilities and is ultimately responsible for all resident care and business decisions. Ensure the facilities operate in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Interacts with residents, families, and staff, or in meetings, and requires excellent skills in time and stress management, a calm, patient, and professional demeanor, and deep understanding of both the clinical and business aspects of running senior services care nursing facilities. Nursing Home and Senior Services Administrator include: Skilled nursing facility (SNF short term rehabilitation as well as long term care), community based residential facility (CBRF), Residential care apartment Complex (RCAC), Memory care facility. Essential job functions include development of a qualified team to ensure compliance with Federal and State Codes; providing direct accountability leadership, management, technical expertise and coaching; preparing and meeting departmental and corporate policies, procedures, productivity standards, performance evaluations, recruitment, orientation, employee development and retention; creating and maintaining a professional practice environment; initiating short and long-term departmental goal setting; accountability for departmental development, empowerment and service line growth; monitoring internal and external environment for opportunities and issues; collaborating with leaders and medical staff to achieve quality services and customer satisfaction; planning and managing efficient use of resources; effective communication; staying current on trends; creating and maintaining a budget; acting as the face of the organization to governing board, public, and families; regular attendance; and maintaining ongoing competency requirements. Additional duties as assigned. Education requires an Associate degree in health, business, or nursing with contingency of successful completion of a bachelor’s degree within three years of hire, preferred Bachelor’s degree at time of hire. Experience requires minimum three years leadership in senior living, nursing home, or healthcare fields, preferred two or more years as Nursing Home Administrator. Certifications required include Licensed in Wisconsin as a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) and valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Preferred RN license.
