Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary: Assists customers in selecting and processing eyewear; ordering, dispensing contact lenses, while maintaining a clean safe optical environment. Oversees non-licensed optical assistants.
Responsibilities: - Assists customers with choosing eyeglass frames and lens options appropriate to customer's prescription and personal requests.
- Measures eyes for pupillary distance and determines bifocal/multifocal placement if needed.
- Assists in contact lens ordering, receiving, patient notification, and returning of contact lenses for all Eye Center locations.
- Maintains inventory and supply levels of frames.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements: - High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
- Certification by the American Board of Opticians (ABO)
- 5 years of relevant experience.
