Common Man Roadside is GROWING! We are looking for a part time payroll clerk

In this role the payroll clerk will perform regular payroll duties using ADP software system. The position is responsible for reviewing timecards, calculating wages, and ensuring employees receive their pay on time. As well as communication with other team managers and performing other duties and assignments as needed.

Position Responsibilities :

• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data when necessary.
• Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.

• Pays employees by calculating pay, verify deductions and issuing checks.
• Protects employee and payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with HR.
• Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
• Monitors FSLA overtime, sick days and vacation days.
• Provide weekend and vacation coverage for payroll manager as needed.
• Follows payroll operations, company policies and procedures, and reports needed changes.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree plus 1-2 years of payroll or accounting experience.
• Prior experience with payroll software required, ADP familiarity, a must.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including with a strong emphasis in Excel including but not limited to formulas, charts, etc.
• Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
• Strong Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task is an asset.

• Ability to work effectively within a team.
