Responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens from our patients through venipuncture and capillary procedures for diagnostic testing. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent Courses in Phlebotomy Minimum 1 year of inpatient phlebotomy experience Valid driver’s license and clean driving record when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons Moderate computer skills Understanding of proper patient identification processes Technical aptitude. Ability to learn new systems quickly Phlebotomy skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Problem solving and decision-making skills Preferred Qualifications: Additional education in a medical or biological field Courses in psychology, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology Previous lead experience highly desirable Experience training phlebotomists
