The Physical Therapy Assistant provides treatment to geriatric patients with neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders under a Physical Therapist's guidance, aiming to restore mobility and reduce pain. Responsibilities include using therapeutic exercises, prosthetic aids, emotional support, and coordinating home care. Description
Provides treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders in accordance with treatment plan established by Physical Therapist to provide efficient, effective physical therapy to referred geriatric participants. Utilizes artificial aids such as prosthetic devices, therapeutic exercise techniques, emotional support and educational training to restore mobility and function to participants, reduce pain, and promote healing. Provides home care coordination.
