We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the production line, ensuring that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
As a Production Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the production process, ensuring that it runs smoothly and according to schedule.
2. Implementing and driving lean manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
3. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing new systems and procedures as required.
4. Leading a team of production workers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and performance.
5. Developing and managing performance metrics for production processes, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded.
6. Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
7. Troubleshooting production issues and coordinating with the maintenance team to resolve equipment problems.
8. Collaborating with other supervisors and management to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in the production process.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Production Supervisor position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven experience in production management, lean manufacturing, process improvement, team leadership, performance management, food safety, and quality.
3. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production line management.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage a team.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and expectations to team members.
7. A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
8. A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business Management, or Food Science would be an advantage.
