Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring a Licensed Full Time (PTA) Physical Therapist Assistant in our Rehab. Department for Inpatient. Requires 1 weekend shift per month.Associates Degree required.Shift Available: Full Time Monday-Friday, 40 hours for Inpatient (AL/IL/MC/OP), occasionally also see SNF patients.Come give your time and talents with our unique Therapy Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
\tModel a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, visitors, and co-workers
\tEnsure resident, patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
\tMaintain good attendance record
\tProvide resident therapy treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist
\tDocument treatment and progress notes and other clinical work in the medical record per departmental policy and procedure
\tProvide resident, family and staff education pertaining to Physical Therapy modalities to ensure understanding and proficiency of care
\tDemonstrates good clinical judgment in all aspects of resident treatments in which trained to provide
\tScreening residents to determine their potential benefit from physical therapy intervention and communicate need for intervention to Physical Therapist
\tDevelops, directs and/or participates in physical therapy programming for the residents
\tAttends in-services and other meetings as required on an ongoing basis
\tMaintains continuing education per state licensure requirements
\tOther duties as assigned by the Physical Therapist and Director of Rehab
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
\tLicensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Texas
\tKnowledge of therapy industry and federal, state and local government regulations Preferred experience with NetHealth documentation system
\tDemonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
\tDemonstrated efficiency strategies for fast paced environment
\tExperience in SNF/LTC/IL/AL/OP setting or mature population rehabilitation and wellness needs
\tExperience with PDPM treatment and reimbursement policy
\tBasic computer skills, Outlook, Word, Excel
\tExcellent customer service skills
\tGenuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with a handicap and hospice patients
\tAbility to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
\tAbility to perform Essential Duties
\tAbility to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
\tAbility to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
