Typical Work Activities Prepares and edits informational materials using various computer graphics programs; Researches and writes news releases, brochures, newsletters, and reports; Collaborates with agency personnel to prepare news content; Takes photographs for publications and press releases; Coordinates with printers and vendors to meet deadlines; Uses software like Photoshop, PageMaker, Publisher for layout and design; Organizes events and meetings; Maintains files of news clippings and related materials; Engages with officials and community groups to organize programs; Prepares exhibits and displays for presentations. Qualifications Knowledge of photographic, audio-visual, digital equipment, and software packages for creating informational materials; effective communication skills; ability to select appropriate graphics; good interpersonal skills; suitable personal characteristics; physical condition appropriate for the role. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency, plus one of the following: Associate's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, or related field; One year of relevant work experience in public relations, media, or related fields; Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
