Dominion Financial Services (DFS) is a single-family investment real estate mortgage originator. DFS originates two main loan products – a short-term bridge loan for fix & flip investors, and a long-term rental loan for landlords growing their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and shows aggressive quarterly growth. Our current origination volume is $70MM month.

The successful candidate will have a strong proven track record in real estate purchasing and/or client relationship management. Experience in home remodeling is a plus. Problem solving and negotiation skills are a must.

In This Role You Will:
  • Use House Canary and Richer Values to evaluate underwriting reports on recently sold properties in the area with our portfolio. This will include analyzing 5-8 deals and 10-20 construction draws per week. 
  • Write and edit property evaluations for upwards of 140 loans per month within 24 hours of receiving a quote.
  • Reconcile the differences in property costs pre and post rehabilitation. 
  • Confirm budgets are accurate for ground up new construction properties, cosmetic renovations on properties (carpet/paint), full gut renovations (total rebuild of interiors), and multifamily properties with 5 or more units. 
  • Confirm renovation estimate is correct and sufficient on all ongoing projects while completing estimations for upcoming projects.
  • Analyze pro formas on large projects as provided by the borrower. 
Requirements:
  • Construction and Rehab knowledge
  • Background in valuating single family and multi-family residential real estate is required
  • Understand marketing conditions
  • Understand complex construction and new property development
  • Ability to adapt to change as the company moves forward in its strategic vision
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external staff/management
  • MLS/CoStar experience is a plus
