Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of finished product to customers. The purpose of the Delivery Driver is to deliver products in cases according to order specifications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle before and after each store;

• Take delivery instructions from supervisors;

• Chart out appropriate route for delivery on the map or GPS;

• Maintain proper knowledge of loaded items;

• Ensure that appropriate and complete documentation is available at the time of loading;

• Drive vehicle to the point of delivery by using the best possible route;

• Make sure that speed limits are adhered to in order to ward off possible misadventures;

• Ensure that the vehicle’s paperwork is in order;

• Assist in unloading items off the vehicle in a safe manner;

• Ensure that delivery receipts are signed;

• Provide friendly, customer service at each delivery;

• Collect payments for deliveries made and tend change;

• Complete Drivers Log and vehicle inspections on a daily basis;

• Fill in pertinent information such as mileage and delivery time in company provided log books;

• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods before and after each delivery;

• Ensure that both general and preventative maintenance measures are performed on the vehicle;

• Check vehicle fluids on a regular basis;

• Clean vehicle from the inside and the outside;

• Perform diagnosis and troubleshooting activities on vehicle when needed;

• Ensure that the delivery schedule is followed;

• Handle invoice discrepancies by informing superiors of problems and complaints;

• Operates forklift, pallet jack and other types of equipment and complete equipment inspections form;

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred but not required.

· 21 years of age/older

· Class A/B / Commercial Drivers License

· Background Check

· Current D.O.T. Physical

· D.O.T./FMCSA Random Drug Pool Testing (Paid for by Company)

· Must be able to work independently within specific time frame given

· Minimum 1 year refrigerated box truck driving experience

· Certificate to operate Forklift; Lift Gate; Pallet Jack

o If unable to provide Forklift, Lift Gate and Pallet Jack certification, training/certification will be provided.
