Job Description

Solar Energy Solutions (SES) is excited to announce an opportunity for a Regional Solar Installer to join our Lexington, Kentucky team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solar energy systems across multiple locations within our service region. This position requires a blend of technical skills, safety awareness, and customer service orientation, enabling you to effectively contribute to our mission of promoting sustainable energy solutions. Due to the nature of this role, only applicants located within commuting distance to Lexington, KY will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install solar panel systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground mounts.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to assess sites and conduct pre-installation inspections
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the installation process.
  • Perform basic electrical work, including wiring and connecting solar systems to the grid.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with installed systems.
  • Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of work completed.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in solar installation or a related field preferred but not required; on-the-job training is available.
  • 80% travel is included with this job.
  • Familiarity with PV systems, wiring, and electrical codes.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between job sites.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
