Fleet Landing is seeking an MDS RN for Skilled Nursing. The primary duties of this position are conducting and coordinating the development and completion of Resident assessments (MDS) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations..

*Responsibilities:*
The MDS RN is primary responsibilities are to conduct and coordinate the development and completion of Resident assessments (MDS) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Monitors the assignment of Residents to RUGs. Develops and maintains on-going MDS schedules for each Resident. Communicate with the interdisciplinary team and families as appropriate regarding the Resident's clinical conditional.
*Key Duties:*
* Knowledge of federal, state, and local government regulations and legislation; and implements regulatory changes as required.
* Maintains strict conformity to Medicare compliance policies and the legal requirements applicable to their function and job responsibilities.
* The R.N. Coordinator must complete the Signature and Date (Z0050 A and Z0050 B) for all assessments and Signature and Date for the CAA Summary Process (V0200 B1. AND V0200 B2.) for comprehensive assessments.
* Coordinates, gathers data and completes the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI)/MDS 3.0 in an accurate and timely manner.
* Implements individual plans of care with interdisciplinary approach in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations and established policies and procedures.
* Assures that all MDS assessments are completed in a timely manner by all departments and reviews for completeness and accuracy of information.
* Determines the RUG categories of Medicare payments for patients based upon the MDS assessments and in collaboration with the MDS team.
*Qualifications:*
Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Current license to practice as an RN in the state of Florida
Prior MDS experience preferred. Progressive experience in nursing practice and nursing leadership. Two (2)year's experience in Long Term Care nursing.
