Job Description

Do you like to teach? Needed 1-4 days a month of help to assist our current Safety Care training Staff. Training Certification will be provided.

• Provides new hire and recertification training on SafetyCare, ensuring compliance with training requirements and on-going monitoring of the overall training program to ensure its effectiveness.
• Works with Human Resources to improve the quality and effectiveness of the training programs at UCP that the trainer is involved in.
• Review participant feedback, making adjustments to approach as appropriate.
• Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs delivered.
• Prepare, organize and distribute training materials as appropriate.
• Attend quarterly Trainer meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present to small and large groups.
• Ability to work as a member of a collaborative team as well as independently as assigned.
• A valid State of Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance and be willing to use his/her reliable transportation for work.
• Good physical skills, be able to squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 20 pounds and push and pull against potential resistance.
• Adequate vision, reading skills, writing and documentation skills and hearing to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to maintain assigned work hours, having sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
• Willingness to travel to all UCP sites to provide training as assigned.
